Y.E.S. Northeast Certificate Program

In collaboration with local school districts, employers, business organizations and government, the Y.E.S. Northeast program is now available in northeastern Pennsylvania. The program is designed to help youth acquire the fundamental skills that employers regard as important to a well-trained work force. It addresses key concerns of the employers, while preparing applicants for quality employment opportunities and a pathway to a secure future.

MAEC began offering Y.E.S., which originated in York, PA, during the 2006-07 school year. In August 2010, the Northeast PA Manufacturers & Employers Council revamped the entire YES curriculum. MAEC has developed and has copyrighted the YES Northeast curriculum. The curriculum includes a number of new modules based on the business communities needs, as well as interactive materials injected throughout. Currently, YES Northeast is offered in Schuylkill, Luzerne and Erie counties.
